Riff & Rotunde

Parties, concerts and New York nights

On the side of the road opposite the main square, there are two of the city’s special clubs and live venues. The Riff, which also calls itself the “Bermudahalle”, is a favourite haunt among students. Parties, concerts, low prices and a relaxed atmosphere make this long, narrow club on two floors a highlight with its wonderful outdoor area. On Wednesdays, under the direction of Pamela Falcon, “New York Nights” have now been performed for nearly two decades. Right next door is the Rotunde. For a long time, this venue, which shows clear traces of its past as a railway station, was closed. Finally, it has now been re-opened. As well as an excellent restaurant, there are selected concerts and parties here, with techno, hip hop, soul and party classics.
